As a professional who seeks to bring musical joy to audiences and students alike, Samantha Humen currently serves as a freelance flutist and private teacher in the Greater Philadelphia region. She has experience performing in a myriad of settings and enjoys the many opportunities to share her love of music. Ms. Humen also maintains a private studio of flute students with which she both inspires their interest and is in turn inspired by their consistent growth and inquisitiveness.

Ms. Humen maintains a private studio of flute students. Taking an individualized approach, she tailors her curriculum to meet each student’s needs and future goals. An important aspect in her teaching is an emphasis on building a healthy, balanced routine for practicing. This includes discussing body awareness, musical interpretation, and mental preparation in regards to performances and auditions.

Ms. Humen has experience coaching chamber music ensembles as well as sectional rehearsals. These range from duets, trios, quartets, wind ensemble sectionals, and orchestral winds sections.
